The Nun

It is the fifth installment of the Conjuring universe but can actually be considered the first. Corin Hardy, director of the film, takes the story back in time to 1950s Romania. The story unfolds with a priest, played by Demián Bichir, and a novitiate, played by Taissa Farmiga, going up against the terrifying demon Valek the Defiler. He is first introduced in the film The Conjuring 2.
Annabelle: Creation

This is the 4th installment in the Conjuring World and the second film in the Annabelle trilogy. It is directed by the man behind Shazam! And Lights Out, David F. Sandberg. Annabelle: Creation unfolds the origin story of the doll Annabelle who was first featured on screen in the 2013 film. Tee film’s story takes place three years after the events of The Nun. A miserable doll maker, played by Anthony LaPaglia, and his wife, played by Miranda Otto, bring home a group of orphaned young girls. One of them, called Janice, played by Talitha Bateman, who is suffering from polio, becomes attached to the couple’s old doll, Annabelle, which unknowingly releases a powerful demon.
The Nun II

The Nun II is the eighth movie in the Conjuring universe, and it takes place four years later from the incidents of The Nun and one year after Annabelle: Creation. In this film, Sister Irene is called to France, where a priest has been inhumanely murdered. Upon her arrival, she discovers that the murder was committed by a powerful demon and that Valak, the same demon she had fought earlier, is back. Valak is now using Maurice, played by Jonas Bloquet, also known as Frenchie in The Nun, as a medium to spread demonic energy and cause harm. Sister Irene is the only one who can stop Valak and put an end to the demon’s evil plans.
Annabelle

This is the second installment in the series, third in chronological order, and first in the Annabelle trilogy. John R. Leonetti directed the film to give the audience another shot at the Annabelle fun the audience had now come to love. The film came more than a decade since Annabelle: Creation, in 1967, as it haunts a newly married pair played by Annabelle Wallis and Ward Horton.
The Conjuring

This is the first installment in the Conjuring series and yet the fourth, chronologically speaking. It is directed by James Wan, who introduced the world to the married ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren. It is shown to take place in 1971, about 4 years after the events of Annabelle.
Annabelle Comes Home

The seventh feature in the Conjuring universe and the fifth film in the story timeline, this film is the final entry of Annabelle in the trilogy. It is a house of horrors movie featuring the Warren couple’s daughter named Judy, played by McKenna Grace. The events of the movie take place a year after The Conjuring with its 1972 storyline.
The Conjuring 2

This sequel is third according to the date of release and seventh in chronology. This feature sees the Warrens in England with events that take place in 1977 as the couple investigates the notorious and highly publicized case of the Enfiled haunting.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Picking up 4 years after The Conjuring 2 release that narrates the story of the 1981 haunting, this installment takes on the real-life trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, played by Ruairi O’Connor. This trial marked the first-ever murder trial that claimed demonic possession as its defense. It is the eighth installment and the latest so far. It is also the eighth in chronology.
