Boston Celtics And Milwaukee Bucks Enter NBA Season As Betting Favorites
The Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks have entered the NBA season as betting favorites from around the country.
At several sportsbooks, the teams are a co-favorite. However, Caesars sportsbook has Boston with slightly better odds listed at 380+ while Milwaukee is at 400+. Defending champions Denver Nuggets come close at 420+, the Phoenix Suns are further back at 600+, and the Golden State Warriors come up on a slower 850+.
The two favorites have retooled their backcourts in the offseason and are both being bet on to win the NBA Cup. Boston has added Jrue Holiday, while Milwaukee traded for superstar Damian Lillard to join Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Nuggets have attracted the biggest bets in the offseason to win the title at Caesars Sportsbook, which reported a hefty $30,000 bet on Denver. It had a 4-1 odds from a bettor from Nevada who would pay a net $120,000. The Los Angeles Lakers have garnered massive support from bettors at sportsbooks FanDuel and SuperBook with around 11-1 odds. The LA Clippers are 18-1, and Miami Heat is 22-1. Among long shots, Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, and Portland Trail Blazers each have odds of 500-1 at Caesars Sportsbook.
