The Yellowstone series is one of the most-loved shows due to its drama and the neo-Western vibe it brings to the screen. Yellowstone Season 2 Review
Firstly, you will experience that the show also focuses on the crime drama, and the story is compelling at the same time, which will make you stick to every second of the screen. However, there is a bit of wallowing family drama, which you will experience now and then. Sometimes it might bother you, as you can feel that they are added to unnecessarily drag the show. In terms of characters, you can find out that they are interesting, flawed, and layered. In comparison to Season 1, Dutton the Senior has to consider his age more. Costner greatly plays the role and brings the most out of it. The role played by Luke Grimes for Kayce is deeper this season, and the role has become more important than the last season.
Kelly Reilly’s role as Beth seems better, and you can see that the role has become more restrained as compared to last season. The semi-western tone, which the show tries to achieve, has been done well. The show easily creates tense situations, full of emotional performances, with perfect settings. The camera movement and decent shots of important moments make the show better. There are also some scenes that are suspenseful when there is a need. The writing, editing, and background scores are all close to perfect, making the show a great treat to watch, apart from some of the unnecessary melodrama.
